Taxes and fees: Additional taxes and fees may apply. These will be clearly stated during the booking process.
VAT & Other Taxes
All rates and prices are quoted inclusive of the appliccable national taxes unless expressly stated otherwise.
VAT: Please note that rates of tax are subject to change. Guests are responsible for payment of all applicable taxes. The Goodenough Hotel London reserves the right to apply any tax increases stipulated at any time between booking confirmation and Check-Out to the reservation value.
City and Tourist Tax: Please note that while a tourist tax does not currently (February 2026) apply in London, there is a legal mechanism for our local authority to apply and collect these taxes. Any changes to tourism taxes will be communicated to guests.
Security Deposit
To enhance your experience and maintain the integrity of our facilities, we implement a security deposit process known as preauthorisation. A preauthorisation is a temporary hold placed on a specified amount on your credit or debit card during the check-in process. Unlike a traditional charge, this is not an actual deduction from your account but serves as a security measure to cover any potential incidental expenses or damages that may occur during your stay.
The security deposit amount is set by the Hotel and is typically calculated based on the length of your stay and any potential additional charges.
Upon check-out, the preauthorised amount is released, and the actual charges for your stay are applied. The time it takes for the preauthorisation hold to be lifted may vary depending on your financial institution.
The Goodenough Hotel London reserves the right, and by signing this agreement the guest authorises, to charge the guest’s credit or debit card for any damage caused to Company property by the guest or their invitees. This includes, but is not limited to, specialist cleaning and/or items deemed to be missing or beyond repair upon departure and all unpaid items charged to the room account.
Extras
The guest shall pay The Goodenough Hotel London for any food, beverages and other services not expressly set out in the booking confirmation. If the cost of these extras exceeds the authorisation taken on check-in, further authorisation will automatically be requested and if such authorisation is not available, we may request another method of settlement or a deposit to be provided, failing which we reserve the right to restrict access to the guest room.
Check in / Out
The standard check in time is set from 3pm onwards. Check out is 11am the latest.
Guests may be required to confirm their identity upon check-in by providing their reservation code and their passport/identity card/driving licence. If guests are travelling from outside the UK, Ireland or any country in the Commonwealth we are also obliged by law to require guests to provide the number and place of issue of their passport and/or identity card and details of their next destination. We are required to keep these details for at least 12 months and may have to make them available for inspection in connection with the prevention or investigation of crime. The Goodenough Hotel London reserves the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the information set out above.
On the day of departure all guests are required to vacate their rooms by 11am. Late check-out after this time can be requested subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the Hotel.
Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules set by The Goodenough Hotel London.
