There’s a particular moment every year when London suddenly remembers how to be glorious. The squares turn green overnight, everyone starts eating outdoors at the slightest hint of sunshine, and the city calendar becomes quietly ridiculous in the very best way. Summer in London is part sporting spectacle, part cultural marathon, part garden-party fever dream, and, if you ask us, Bloomsbury is exactly where you want to base yourself for it all.
Tucked between the museums, theatres and leafy Georgian squares, The Goodenough Hotel offers a calmer corner of central London during the busiest season of the year. You can spend the day at Wimbledon, the Proms or Hyde Park, then return to peaceful evenings in Bloomsbury with a chilled glass of something and none of the chaos of the West End crowds. Better still, every stay supports the charitable work of Goodenough College, so your summer city break does a little good too.
